We'll meet in our hotel in New Delhi, visiting the local markets and getting accustomed to the rhythm of life in India.
At breakfast the next day, we travel together by plane to Calcutta (2hrs) to reach the Yogic Retreat in the islands of Mayapur, West Bengal where the most sacred rivers of India meet in tropical forests.
In this magical place, we will begin the Yoga Retreat, with yoga classes, meditation, and daily workshops guided by internationally recognized teachers. In the afternoons we participate in local tours of the temples, markets, rivers and visits to the various islands of West Bengal.

Visit to the main temples
Visit to Chandrodaya Mandir (the largest temple in Bengal) with puja ceremony and kirtan yoga. Visiting the cultural area for walks and shopping.
Visit to Gurukula (monastery for children on the yogic path) and participation of sacred fire ceremony. Visit to the elephant reserve.
Meditative walk through the rural area of Mayapur and visit the Goshala (Cow Shelter).
Ceremony to close the retreat and certification. Festival of India and cultural evening.
After the Yogic Retreat, we will take a plane from Calcutta back to New Delhi, to continue with the Tour to the North of India. That same night we will visit the most impressive and majestic temple in New Delhi, the Akshardham Temple.
From New Delhi, we will head north to deepen in our Yoga Studies on the white beaches of the Ganges River in Rishikesh, the Capital of Yoga.
A yoguis' dream come true! Imagine yourself practicing Yoga, Meditation and Vedic Philosophy on the banks of the sacred Ganges River! We will hike through the Himalayas to bathe in one of its most famous mountain waterfalls.
From our base in Rishikesh, we'll travel north to Hardiwar, one of the most important pilgrimage sites, where the Ganges emerges from the Gates of the Himalaya Mountains. As we enjoy the scenic trip in cable car to visit one of Shakti's Temple's (female energy) and join the hundreds of pilgrims for the nightly vibrant celebration of the Ganges River (Ganga Puja) with Kirtan (chant) and candles!
We'll finish our tour in Holy Vrindavan Dham to celebrate Diwali (the festival of lights), and to understand the lifestyle of yogis in the Ashrams, while visiting sacred temples listening to spiritual teachers from India. Vrindavan is the heart of Bhakti Yoga where Radha and Krishna execute their divine pastimes.
From Vrindavan, we will travel one day to visit the famous Taj Mahal!

All food and accommodations as well as in country travel and transport during the 21 days of the retreat.
Also included is the support in the process of getting the tourist visa for India, the purchase of your tickets to India, and the organization of your arrival and departure from India.
Your international tickets or transport from the airport to the hotel where we start the tour and neither from the hotel of the last day back to the airport. (approx. 50 USD total)
The tour can be taken separately or together with the 8-day yogic retreat.
